Yoga
& its Benefits


 

The word “Yoga” means “union”: union of mind, body and spirit – the union between us and the intelligent cosmic spirit of creation - “the oneness of all things”.


Hatha yoga is the one most commonly practiced. It concentrates on the physical body as the way toward self-realization. It teaches us that gaining control over the body is the key to controlling the mind.


The benefits of yoga sessions far surpass a simple physical fitness routine:

-The mind and body are linked and it could be said that if the body is out of alignment, the mind cannot be in control.

-Stretching, purifying and healing the body bring balance and harmony to the mind, thus creating health, happiness and fulfillment.

-Yoga is an easy, undemanding, and enjoyable way of becoming healthier and stronger. It has lots of beneficial effect on a variety of medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, arthritis, cholesterol…

-Greater self esteem, a sense of achievement and inner peace.

-The deep breathing and physical exercise required for yoga will help you to deal with a raft of complaints, such as pain of the joints and muscles, anxiety, stress, postural problems, and bowel tone and function problems.

-More balanced emotions.

-A greater level of fitness (tones the muscles and massages the internal organs, relieve inner tension, reduce weight and strengthen bones).

-Clearer thoughts (more awareness).

-Improved inner calm.

-A positive, healthy outlook on life.

-Eliminates stress and tension.

-Decreases problems with breathing, digestion.


Through Asana (Postures) you can control the physical pain, through Pranayama (breathing exercises) you can control the emotional pain, and through Meditation, you can come to a real understanding of who you really are.

 

Sessions are given by Tania Zayat, certified in:
- Advanced yoga teacher training, "Yoga & inner peace" Floriida, USA , supervised by the Sivananda center.
- Jivanmukti teacher training, Omega institute, New York, USA.
- Ceritified physical therapist.

 
Dates:
- Tuesdays at 10 am.
- Wednesdays at 6 pm.

Session lasts one hour and a half.


Cost: $40 per month (including 4 consecutive sessions) , or L.L 20,000 per session.
